On board a taxi, I travelled from Pangkor Town at the eastern side of Pangkor Island to Havana Beach Resort near Nipah Bay at the western side using the coastal road.

I arrived at Havana Beach Resort at about 1 pm.

After checking in and taking a rest inside my chalet, I went outside for a walk around the resort. There were a few hornbills around the resort, presumely taken care of by the owner of the resort.

Riding a ferry, I travelled past the river mouth of Dinding River into the open sea.

After a while, Pangkor Island was clearly visible.

As the ferry cruised along the eastern side of Pangkor Island towards Pangkor Jetty, I got to see buildings, fishing villages and boats along the shoreline of Pangkor Island.

After disembarking the ferry at Pangkor Jetty in Pangkor Town, I took a taxi towards Havana Beach Resort.

INTRODUCTION

I went for a 3D/2N visit to Pangkor Island starting from this day, which was just two days after Chinese New Year. I went there by taking a ferry from the mainland. For the three days, I stayed at Havana Beach Resort at Nipah Bay.

I travelled from Penang to Lumut in the morning to catch a ferry to Pangkor Island (Malay: Pulau Pangkor). At about 10.30 am, I arrived at Lumut Jetty. Lumut Jetty is located at the banks of Dinding River (Sungai Dinding).

At about 11.30 pm, I boarded a ferry and began my journey towards Pangkor Island. While travelling towards the river mouth, I passed by Lumut's Royal Malaysian Navy base.
